Badger Swim Club is proud to announce the first in a series of  ‘Be a Student of the Sport’ clinics led by our National Champions. Badger Swimmers and National Team members, Zane Grothe, Cody Miller, and Lindsay Vrooman will be at Badger Pool Saturday through Tuesday, September 12 to September 15, 2015.


USA National Team member, Cody Miller is one of the fastest breaststrokers in the world. He was the National Champion in the 100BR in 2014, and this summer he competed at World Championships in Kazan, Russia. He was a silver medalist at the 2015 FINA World Cup. Additionally, he won gold as part of the 400m medley relay at the 2015 FINA World Championships. HE won a pair of relay medals at the 2014 FINA Short Course World Championships in Doha, Qatar. He also swam at the 2014 Pan Pacific Championship.


USA National Team member, Zane Grothe earned his spot on the National Team this summer with some incredible swims at Philips 66 National Championships. He was at the gold medalist in the men’s 400FR this summer as well as a silver medalist in the 200FR. Zane is headed to his third Olympic Trials next summer. He is currently 9th in the world in the 400FR.

Saturday and Sunday, Cody and Zane will work with the Senior Team from 7:30 – 10AM, and they will work with the Junior Team and the competitive 10 & Under program from 10:30 – 12:30pm.

The clinics will feature two separate lecture sessions followed by two 30minute pool sessions led by Cody and Zane. The goal of the pool sessions will be to incorporate the skills discussed during the dry session.

Lindsay-Vrooman-BadgerMonday and Tuesday, National Team member, Lindsay Vrooman will be here to work with the Junior Team and Competitve 10 & Under program. Lindsay had an amazing year. She was a gold medalist at the CIG, World University Games, USA National Championship, and FINA World Cup. Lindsay will be discussing the importance and significance of drive and motivation as well as esblishing a positive training routine. Monday Lindsay will be at Badger Pool from 3:00 – 5:00pm. Tuesday she will be at the pool from 10:00 – 12:00pm.
