Badger boys also had several swimmers participating in the Section 1 Swimming Championships this weekend.

Badger swimmer and New Rochelle High School junior, David Stewart, also had a record setting high school championship meet. David won the 200 freestyle with a state championship qualifying time of 1:41.45. He then won the 100 butterfly with a meet and Section 1 record time of 49.51. This swim was an Automatic All-American qualifying time. This is the second fastest swim in New York State this year. Congratulations David! Reo Mukudai, senior from Keio Academy, won the 100 freestyle with a NYS Championship qualifying time of 47.54. Reo also qualified for states and placed 2nd in the 50 free with a time of 21.92.

Dan Needham, senior from Scarsdale, qualified for states in two events. Dan placed third in the 200 freestyle with a NYS Championship qualifying time of 1:47.24. Dan also qualified for states in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:47.32.

David Bravo, sophomore from Scarsdale, qualified for states in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.88.

Josh Hendell, sophomore from Scarsdale, qualified for states in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:52.24.

Liam Egan, sophomore from Rye-BB, qualified for states in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.28. He also qualified for the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.07.
