Jack Collins

Jack is a 2020 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Jack swam at Indiana University from 2015-2017 before transferring to the University of Texas and swimming from 2018-2020. After his collegiate career ended, he joined the University of Texas Pro Group in the lead up to the 2021 US Olympic Trials, where he placed 9th in the 1500m Freestyle.

Jack learned to swim at Badger and swam for the club throughout his career. He graduated from Fordham Prep and was a member of the Fordham Prep State Championship teams in 2014 and 2015 under coach Dominick Galimi.

Jack has been coached by multiple US Olympic Team Coaches, including Eddie Reese and Ray Looze, and has trained alongside numerous Olympic Gold Medalists, World Record Holders and NCAA Champions.

Hakan Eskioglu

Hakan has extensive experience at all levels of competitive swimming. As a swimmer, he has been a national champion and record holder swimmer from 1977-1997, participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and was a European Finalist and Balkan Champion in 1986-1989.

Hakan’s coaching experience:

  • Head Coach of Middle and Distance Swimmers & Age 13 Boys and Girls at Galatasaray Sporting Club Istanbul – Turkey’s top club program

  • Technical Swimming Committee Member of Turkish Swimming Federation.

Dominick Galimi

For almost 20 years years, Dominick Galimi has been coaching for the Badger Swim club at all levels, with a main focus on the Senior team. The former local age group and high school swimming standout went on to compete at Lehigh University. After completing his engineering and MBA degrees, Dominick was named head coach of the Bronxville High School Girls and Fordham Prep Boys varsity swimming teams guiding them to numerous Division and State championship titles. He is also a twenty+ year veteran head swim coach at the Larchmont Yacht Club in the summer. Through the years he has received multiple Coach of the Year awards from a variety of associations, including The Journal News, Westchester County Swimming Conference and the Catholic high school athletic association. In 2017, Dominick was elected to the Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

John H. Collins Jr.

John Collins is one of America’s most successful club coaches. Collins started coaching in 1970 at Rye YMCA which helped prepare him to take over the Badger Swim Club from his father in 1971. He is an All-American butterflier at Indiana University under the legendary coach, James “Doc” Counsilman. After Graduating from Indiana, he went on to graduate from Fordham Law School graduate in 1972. Collins has coached many world champions including Rick Carey (1983), Lea Loveless Maurer (1998), Tobie Smith (1998), Cristina Teuscher (2001), and Jenny Thompson (2003, 04) U.S. Olympic gold medalists include, Carey, Loveless, Teuscher, Thompson and most recently, Cody Miller.

Collins has been a U.S. National Team coach from 1984-2007, serving on numerous international trips with team USA including head coach in the 1995 Pan American Games, head coach of the 1997 Pan Pacific Championships, head coach of the 2001 World Championships, and most recently, head coach of the 2007 World Championships in Perth, Australia.

Collins was named “coach of the year” by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) in 1983 and is an inductee in the Metropolitan Swimming Hall of Fame, the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame and in the ASCA Hall of Fame.

In 2016, 17 Badger Swimmers qualified for the US Olympic Trials – a club record. John led Badger Swim Club to a USA Swimming Gold Medal Ranking in 2020 and 2021, highlighted by being ranked the #10 Club in the US in 2021.
